Our Mission
Fusion of All Natural & Wonderfully Scented
When we first visited Maine, I was so excited to make a gift basket for family and friends back home that included all things Maine. One of the items I wanted to include was a blueberry soap. Afterall, I had blueberry muffin mix, blueberry syrup, a blueberry candle – it would perfectly round out the assortment. Every blueberry soap I found smelled amazing, BUT had an ingredient list that read like a science experiment. Needless to say, I didn’t include a soap in my basket. It seems like if you care about what you put on body and the ingredients you use, your only scent options are the same lavender, patchouli and lemongrass. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE essential oils and I believe in their healing properties and benefits to us. But… I really LOVE fun scents!

I love lilac in the spring, watermelon in the summer, apple spice in the fall and gingerbread in the winter. You just can’t get those scents with essential oils. So, when we ended up buying a farm in Maine and making soap with the fresh milk from our goats, I went on a mission. My mission was and is to provide bath and body products that smell amazing AND have ingredients you can pronounce. Ingredients that not only make wonderfully nourishing products that are beneficial for our bodies and the world we live in, but products that are also beautiful and bring joy to our senses. Our products use herbs and clays like chlorella algae, kaolin & bentonite clay, and indigo to produce beautiful colors that also have healing benefits for our skin. We also grow many of our own herbs or harvest them wild from the pastures or forest on our farm – many weeds (while a huge nuisance) are so beneficial for us. Our goats are always covered in burs from the burdock in our pasture, but it is so wonderful for drawing out toxins in the body – so it stays. You don’t even know how many times we have been stung by stinging nettle – but it the foundation of most of my remedies for both the animals and for us – so it stays. While we do use essential oils and herbs in many of our products, we also include paraben and phthalate free fragrance oils. These more natural oils allow us to make a Wild Maine Blueberry line so that other health conscience consumers can finally have a blueberry soap to include in their gift basket!
Our Family

Our family consists of myself (Renee), my husband (Mike) and our daughter (Annabelle). We grew up in the west: Colorado, New Mexico, Oregon; and we love the west. We love the majestic Rocky Mountains, the dry weather and the fact that we had never heard of a no-see-um or black fly! But, we had always dreamed of seeing the United States. Seeing the history on the east coast and the different cultures each region had to offer. So, when Mike had an opportunity to take a job that would allow us to travel – we sold our home, put what few memorabilia we couldn’t live without in a storage unit, bought an RV and took off on an adventure of lifetime. We were able to see most of the US and absolutely loved our life!
However, all things must eventually come to an end and when it was time to settle down, Mike accepted a job in Maine. We had always been infatuated with the idea of homesteading and being self-sufficient, so we bought a farm. Having never farmed before, we are now living a new adventure. We have 50 chickens and 20 goats. We were going to have a wide variety of animals and raise our own meat, but my daughter, Annabelle, and I quickly realized that we have way too tender of hearts to ever kill an animal. After being around them and we learned how they have distinct personalities and show just as much love and loyalty as a dog or cat.
They can learn their name and morn the loss of their offspring; they run up to you and beg for pets or give you a cold shoulder if you have been away for a couple days. So, we quickly came to the conclusion that we would be a vegetarian homestead. All our animals have names and they are treated as pets not livestock – some have spent time in our house while recovering and I have spent many a night sleeping in the hay of our barn making sure they were going to make it. We enjoy the delicious milk and eggs our animals produce and in return they enjoy our love and compassion. This new life is a lot of hard work, a lot of sacrifice and a lot of tears of joy and sadness – but it is worth it, and we are so glad we are blessed to be able to have this opportunity!
