How to Use a Lotion Bar

Lotion bar? What is a lotion bar? 

 

Pure goodness for your skin! Lotion is made from taking oils and butters and mixing it with water. This dilutes the moisturizing benefits and if you have really dry, cracked skin - it also stings when you put it on. Finally, whenever you add water to oils, you have to use a preservative - even organic and natural lotions still use chemical preservatives and emulsifiers. Bummer! 

 

Our lotion bars are made with Cocoa Butter, Shae Butter & Coconut Oil - so they are extremely nourishing for  dry, damaged skin. We also include natural Beeswax as well as Grapeseed Oil. The beeswax helps to trap the moisture on your skin and create a barrier; that way you don't have to apply as often - even after washing your hands. Grapeseed oil not only helps to moisturize, soothe and repair skin, but it also absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue. We use Essential Oils (EO) or Fragrance Oils (FO) to add a lovely scent to the bars - just don't get caught walking around smelling your hands; that can be a little weird! =)

 

Different companies create different lotion bars - no two are alike. So just because you have tried a lotion bar before doesn't mean it was the same as our lotion bars. Some will leave your skin greasy and take forever to absorb, some absorb quickly but aren't very moisturizing. We wanted to create something that moisturized while still absorbing quickly. We feel like we have accomplished this goal and we pray that you will love these bars as much as we do!

HOW TO USE: Just take the lotion bar and rub on your skin. The warmth of your body will melt the oils and butters. Message them into your skin and the beeswax will trap that moisture - making it last much longer than normal lotion!
