This is our holistic version of Neosporin - but BETTER!!! Not only does this disinfect with the antiviral, antibacterial properties of the herbs and essential oils; but it also promotes healing. We use this on everything from cuts and scrapes to irritated skin from rashes.
 
The Herbs:
Calendula Flowers - . It stimulates skin regeneration and collagen production. Essential for closing wounds and preventing scarring.
Plantain Leaf - It pulls out heat from burns and "debris" from punctures.
Elder Flowers - Specifically used for burns and inflamed skin. It softens the tissue and reduces redness and swelling and heat in the wound.
Yarrow - Historically used on battlefields to stop bleeding ("Styptic"). It cleanses the wound and prevents infection.
Burdock Root - Used for clearing out deep-seated infection
Horsetail - It has the highest silica content of any herb, providing the structural "building blocks" needed to repair deep tissue and skin elasticity.
Nettle - Packed with minerals and vitamins that the body needs for repair.
 
My husband cut his finger down to the bone in a careless accident with a pocket knife. It missed the ligaments - so we decided not to get stitches and use this instead. We put this salve on his finger day and night and kept it wrapped in athletic tape with a popsicle stick splint. His finger healed up completely and has a smaller scar than his other finger that had stitches when he was a boy!
