This is our holistic version of Neosporin - but BETTER!!! Not only does this disinfect with the antiviral, antibacterial properties of the herbs and essential oils; but it also promotes healing. We use this on everything from cuts, wounds, burns and scrapes to irritated skin from rashes. This is our go to remedy for pretty much any wound! It keeps the wounds free from infection and heals them from the inside out! 
 
HOW TO USE: We wash the wound to remove any debris. Then we liberally apply this salve and keep the wound wrapped. We just keep applying the salve and fresh bandages every morning and night until the wound is healed. This is truly the only medicine needed and you will be amazed how your wound heals and feels. 
 
The Herbs:
Calendula Flowers - . It stimulates skin regeneration and collagen production. Essential for closing wounds and preventing scarring.
Plantain Leaf - It pulls out heat from burns and "debris" from punctures.
Elder Flowers - Specifically used for burns and inflamed skin. It softens the tissue and reduces redness and swelling and heat in the wound.
Yarrow - Historically used on battlefields to stop bleeding ("Styptic"). It cleanses the wound and prevents infection.
Burdock Root - Used for clearing out deep-seated infection
Horsetail - It has the highest silica content of any herb, providing the structural "building blocks" needed to repair deep tissue and skin elasticity.
Nettle - Packed with minerals and vitamins that the body needs for repair.
 
My husband cut his finger down to the bone in a careless accident with a pocket knife. It missed the ligaments - so we decided not to get stitches and use this instead. We put this salve on his finger day and night and kept it wrapped in athletic tape with a popsicle stick splint. His finger not only healed up completely but it has virtually no scar unlike his other finger that had stitches when he was a boy and still has a very visible scar. 
 
We also used this on our chicken that was attacked by a fox. She was missing all of your skin on the whole side of her body. We washed the wound and applied this salve and wrapped her in a cloth. We applied the salve morning and night. She never got any infection. Her skin grew back as did her feathers and if you looked at her now, you would never know it ever happened!
